Connect, Learn, and Thrive in Your Community through local Spanish immersion
Spanish Immersion Experiences with Your Local and Native Spanish Teacher
Learning Spanish goes beyond the classroom—it’s about real-world connections. As part of our journey, I take my students to local immersion experiences right here in our towns, where you’ll have the opportunity to practice what you’ve learned and interact with native Spanish speakers in authentic settings.
These outings are not just about speaking Spanish—they’re about embracing the process. Together, we create a non-judgmental environment where mistakes are welcomed as stepping stones to success.
With me by your side, you’ll feel supported and confident as you build meaningful connections and grow your language skills through real-life interactions.
MEET YOUR SPANISH TEACHER
I’m Yanina, and I’m so glad you’re here. I’m a native Spanish speaker who grew up in South America and have proudly called the Roaring Fork Valley home for the past 25 years. I began teaching Spanish over 20 years ago—starting as a volunteer and gradually turning that experience into a lifelong passion for helping others gain confidence in the language.
Over the years, I’ve built extensive real-world experience through more than 12 years of legal, medical, and community interpreting. This hands-on background allows me to bring practical, relevant Spanish into every lesson—so you’re not just learning vocabulary, but how to truly communicate in real-life situations.

Learn Quick Spanish Group Courses - Guidelines
What language levels do the courses cover?
Our courses follow the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and are available for all levels from A1 to C2 (Beginner to Mastery).
Each 16-week course (1.5 hours, twice per week) is designed as a guided course to build a strong foundation in Spanish. While this initial course will not fully reach the A1 level, students can make even greater progress through additional self-study and practice between classes.
Most learners need approximately 90–120 hours of guided classes and 30–50 hours of self-study to achieve full A1 (Beginner) competency, totaling around 120–170 hours. Upon completion, your instructor will assess your progress and can provide a follow-up package to help you achieve full A1 competency or advance to higher levels.
If you’re unsure of your current level, you can take our free Placement Test to start at the right point.

How Long Does It Take to Reach Each Level of Spanish?
The time it takes to improve your Spanish skills depends on factors like your starting level, the time you dedicate to practice, and your individual learning pace.
